Blade File Transfer System, the new name for Blade Transfer Services, is the only enterprise file transfer solution based on XML Web Services. 1. Browser independent – Blade does not use internet browsers because they are not designed for transferring large files and are therefore inherently unreliable. Blade is specifically designed for reliable and secure transfer of large files.
 
2. Pure HTTPS – replaces previous generation technologies of FTP and HTTP Put.
 
3. 3-Way Real Fault Tolerance. Blade is fault tolerant against client failure, network failure, and server failure. Provides full fault tolerance against network outage, network swap, client PC outage or reboot; server outage or reboot. In all of these scenarios the transfer will resume from the point where it was interrupted.
 
4. Files can be stored on a separate file server or SAN. No files need to be stored on the web server. This offers better file security, less risk of sensitive files being compromised; and conforms to your organization’s backup and operational procedures.
 
5. Locked down web server. Unlike previous generation technologies, Blade makes your web server more secure and less susceptible to malicious compromise or misuse.
 
6. Supports clustering and load balancing for highly available and scalable solutions. Inherently capable of running on a web farm, web server cluster or array.

7. Web Client allows any authorized user to upload and download files from your corporate server without installing client software. Built with the same reliability and security as the full featured client.

Blade Web Client
 
Allows any authorized user to upload and download files from your corporate server without installing client software. The Web Client is built with the same reliability and security as the full featured client.
 
Corporations can provide “Upload” and “Download” links that users click on to launch the Web Client application for single use. If the corporate administrator updates the Web client software on the server, the users will automatically receive the latest version next time they launch the application.
 
The Web client is always locked in to only one Blade File Transfer System Server. Corporate branding opportunities are available.
