Who we are
Blade is a respected international software consulting firm based in Wellington,
New Zealand. We specialize in technical content development and innovative software
tools. Since 2001 we have been developing and delivering technical content for Microsoft
Corporation around the world. We work with latest Microsoft technologies such as
Exchange 2007, .NET Framework 3.0 and Office Communications Server.
Our Philosophy
We are continuously developing software tools that make life easier for our customers.
Our goal is to build software that works. We have an extensive quality assurance
program, and our close liaison with Microsoft Corp allows us to build our tools
with the latest Microsoft technologies.

Peter O'Dowd
Peter is a Windows Server MVP for Exchange Server. He is a well known and respected
figure worldwide and often trains Microsoft consultants and trainers. Over the past
two years he has spent a lot of his time writing content for Microsoft. He particularly
specializes in developing labs and virtual environments.
Peter is a regular presenter for events such as TechEd, Exchange Connections and
Mobility conferences around the globe. He also takes on the role of Systems Architect
for large project teams performing designs and implementations of Active Directory
and Exchange.
Peter has been quoted as saying "Give me a wet piece of string and I'll get replication
and messaging happening across it!” He has also been known to play records during
his presentations from his previous career as a rock star.
When he's not working, Peter enjoys playing the guitar noisily.

Valentine Boiarkine
Valentine is a co-founder and the lead software architect of Blade. She specializes
in enterprise software integration, IT alignment and business process automation.
Valentine has designed distributed software systems for some of the world’s largest
financial and legal organizations. She is the lead architect of revolutionary Blade
File Transfer System file transfer technology.
In recent years, Valentine has authored expert technical training resources for
Microsoft. Her practical sessions focus on planning, deploying and troubleshooting
Exchange Server, Office Communications Server, SQL Server, .NET and BizTalk solutions.
She trains Microsoft support and escalation engineers around the globe. She is also
the author of numerous whitepapers, solution accelerators and guides for Microsoft
and other industry leaders.
Valentine has over 10 years of industry experience with software architecture projects
with large multinational corporations as well as medium size businesses and ISVs.
Outside of work Valentine enjoys rock music, philosophy and all things scientific.
